Our Mission Statement

Round the table at a FarnhamAssist lunch

The purpose of FCCT (the 'Trust') is to support Christian action, mission and worship in the Farnham area, by helping to release dreams and visions of Christians of all denominations who wish to work together for these ends. The Trust supports a variety of initiatives, some of which are independent projects.

Vision

The Trust is founded on the conviction that when God looks at the Farnham area He only sees one church because He only has one body. This body has approximately 3,500 members spread across 34 congregations out of a population of 34,000. Collectively, we have tremendous spiritual, personal and material resources.

Calling

Our calling is to help individuals to discover their God-given vocation and gifts, to help connect them with others across the wider body who share the same passions, and then to facilitate and serve these teams as they pursue their passions.

Values

We facilitate grassroots movements, striving to release rather than to control. Our bias is to work from the bottom up rather than the top down, seeking to serve rather than to be served. All the initiatives have come from Christians in the town, who have ownership of their own projects. The Trust provides the legal framework and support services to enable these projects to be as effective as possible. The Trust will only be involved in the absence of a better alternative.

The Fruit

We want to see Christians at the forefront of serving the needs of our community. We also want people of all ages to hear the Good News of Jesus presented to them in a culturally relevant way and given the opportunity to respond. The following represents a wide range of initiatives supported by the Trust. They are the fruit of Christians working together for the good of our community.
